Not very recently updated but good theory does not change. If you want to be a practical good rider then it is a good book. If you want to be a very fast sports rider you will be disappointed with the 7-page 'Speed and Safety' chapter. The book goes in other directions. Better than the old IAM book I've also read.

Excellent. I have recently passed das and this is a first rate book which encourages continuous self-analysis. It's concise and well structured. The diagrams are relevant, clear and a good size. Ignore the "How to be a better rider" book. It's a glossy rip-off of the mcrc. Buy the original and best! Some people consider it a dry read. I don't. Much of the stuff is obvious but the magic is in how the information is to be built into the riding plan and how it raises awareness. Peerless.

This book is so well written and so important to serious bikers who want to improve their riding abilities.
It has taught me so much I had no problems passing the Advanced Driving Test and I am 74years old and been riding bikes since 1964. I thought I knew all there was to know about biking how wrong I was.
Read this book slowly and digest the contents it will give you a lot more pleasure with your riding.

This book should be given to you when you pass your CBT. It contains essential information for riders on safely navigating roads and avoiding blind drivers. 10/10
