- Useful, but not a definative reference
I've recently been working my way through a number of, supposed, Ducati reference materials, trying to farm out information on a specific model and year. In my search it's almost been inevitable that I've purchased and skimmed my way through a number of Ian Falloon's titles, including the 'Desmoquattro Performance Handbook'.

I have quite a few Ian Falloon titles, and rate the author as an enthusiast, knowledgeable profilic writer on motorcycling. As a Ducati enthusiast, I particuarly find his 'Standard Catalog of Ducati Motorcycles' a useful reference - and as such I was looking forward to this 'handbook.' The Ducati Desmoquatro Performance Handbook is interesting and entertaining as a kicking off point and guidebook. But it can be a bit sketchy in some critical areas.
